Account and data deletion
How to delete your Cadana Fertility account
Cadana Fertility gives registered users a way to delete their account and request deletion of associated account data from the web, even if the Android app has been removed from their device. This page explains the available deletion options, what information is removed, what may need to be retained, and how to contact us if you cannot access your account.
1. Delete your account from the website
If you can access your account, log in and open the Delete Account page in Settings. You will be asked to enter your current password, type DELETE, and confirm the request before the account is deleted.
2. If you cannot log in
Send an account deletion request to info@cadanafertility.com. Please use the subject line Account Deletion Request and include the email address or phone number connected to your Cadana Fertility account. If you use Google Chrome, the email button will try to open Gmail in the browser with a pre-filled message. If Gmail is not signed in or not available, you can still use your normal email app. We may ask for additional information to verify account ownership before deleting the account.
3. If you removed the Android app
You can still request deletion from this page even if the Android app is no longer installed on your device. The deletion process is connected to your Cadana Fertility account, not only to the installed app. Use the website login option or email support if you cannot access the app.
4. Information to include in an email request
To help us find the correct account, include your account email or phone number, username if known, account type if known, and a short statement that you want your Cadana Fertility account deleted. Do not send sensitive medical documents by email unless support specifically asks for them through an appropriate channel.
5. Identity verification
Before deleting an account by email request, we may need to verify account ownership. This is important because Cadana Fertility accounts may contain sensitive fertility, donor, clinic, document, and communication records. Verification helps prevent someone else from deleting your account without permission.
6. What account deletion removes
Account deletion removes the user account and directly associated records such as profile information, uploaded documents, fertility or health records, donor records, chat records, settings, and device notification tokens where those records are directly linked to the account and are not required for a permitted retention reason.
7. Profile and contact information
Deletion generally removes personal account details such as name, display name, username, email address, phone number, account type, registration information, contact preferences, profile completion data, profile photo, cover image, and similar profile fields directly tied to the deleted account.
8. Uploaded documents and files
Uploaded documents that are directly linked to your account may be removed from active account access when the account is deleted, unless a permitted retention reason applies. This may include identification files, medical reports, certificates, consent documents, profile media, or other files uploaded through document or profile sections.
9. Fertility, medical, and donor records
Deletion may include fertility-health records, medical-history entries, donor-history records, semen donation records, oocyte donation records, donor activities, family or children records, educational qualifications, professional experience records, and other structured records directly connected to the account, unless those records must be retained for a permitted reason.
10. Chat and communication records
Account deletion may remove or de-identify chat records and conversation state linked directly to your account where appropriate. In some cases, messages or professional communications may be retained where needed for security, audit, dispute resolution, clinic operation, legal compliance, or patient-safety reasons.
11. Notifications and device tokens
Device notification tokens and app-related notification records directly linked to your account may be removed so that the deleted account no longer receives account-specific push notifications or related app messages.
12. What may be retained
Some limited records may be retained where required or permitted for legal, regulatory, security, fraud prevention, audit, dispute resolution, backup, clinic-operation, patient safety, record-keeping, or other legitimate operational reasons. This can include security logs, audit trails, appointment or clinic-operation records, professional communication records, and records that a fertility clinic or medical professional is required to keep.
Where information is retained, it is kept only for the purpose that requires retention and for no longer than necessary for that purpose. Account deletion does not automatically delete records that a connected fertility clinic or fertility professional must keep under their own legal, regulatory, medical, or operational duties.
13. Clinic and professional records
Account deletion from Cadana Fertility does not automatically delete records that a connected fertility clinic, laboratory, doctor, counsellor, or professional must keep under their own legal, medical, regulatory, ethical, or operational duties. Clinics and professionals may have separate retention obligations outside the Cadana Fertility platform.
14. Legal, medical, and audit retention
Examples of records that may need to be retained include security logs, audit trails, professional communication records, treatment-related records, consent records, clinic operation records, transaction or billing references, complaint records, fraud-prevention records, and records needed to comply with applicable law or professional duties.
15. Backup copies
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or disaster-recovery systems until those backups are rotated, overwritten, or expire according to normal backup schedules. Backup copies are not used to restore ordinary account access after deletion unless required for a valid legal, security, or operational reason.
16. Data shared before deletion
If you previously made information available to a clinic, professional, administrator, or other permitted account, deletion may not remove copies that were already lawfully accessed, downloaded, recorded, or retained outside your active account. Contact the relevant clinic or professional directly about records they hold outside Cadana Fertility.
17. Pending reviews or investigations
If an account is involved in an active dispute, safety review, suspected misuse, fraud review, legal request, clinic investigation, or compliance issue, deletion may be delayed or limited until the matter is handled. We will still process deletion where appropriate once retention is no longer required.
18. Deletion is difficult to reverse
After deletion is completed, the account may not be recoverable. You may lose access to uploaded files, profile history, dashboard records, chat history, donor records, settings, and account-specific activity. Review your account carefully before confirming deletion.
19. Creating a new account later
You may be able to create a new account later, but the new account may not include records, documents, messages, approvals, history, or settings from the deleted account. Some email, phone, username, clinic, donor, or approval rules may still apply to the new account.
20. Time needed to process requests
Deletion requests made through the account settings flow may begin immediately or shortly after confirmation. Email requests can take longer because support may need to verify ownership and locate the correct account. Complex requests involving clinic records, professional records, disputes, or legal obligations may require additional review.
21. If you only want to change visibility
If you do not want to delete your account but want to limit what others can see, review your profile, document, clinic-sharing, fertility-health, chat, and data availability settings inside the app. Reducing visibility is different from deleting the account.
22. Privacy policy
For more information about how Cadana Fertility handles personal data, uploaded files, health-related information, device data, and retention, review the Privacy Policy.
23. Medical disclaimer
Some account records may relate to fertility, donor history, medical history, clinic communication, and uploaded health documents. Review the Medical Disclaimer for important limits on health-related information in Cadana Fertility.
